This is a great session for both female and male teams and individual players who would like to work on competitive team-like drills followed by play.
Teams who attend with 6 or more players (preferably more than 6), with a balance of positions, will train and compete with their team. Coaches will assess the needs of the team, then direct the training and play accordingly. However, teams can request to work on whatever skills they wish during the training portion of the evening. In fact, they can forego play, if they would like to drill instead.
*Teams with at least one member attending any other Masspike Volleyball Camp session are eligible for the discounted team rate of $400 ($40-$67 per camper for 6-10 players)
Individuals who attend, must have 2 competitive seasons (either high school and/or U16 club level volleyball experience). We will do our best to match you with players of similar skill level and experience plus a balanced position group, but that is not always possible. We often compensate for missing positions on court by allowing our staff to play with the players. Individuals with less experience than required may attend with the recommendation from their high school coach or if they get their own group of 8 players together. Following a brief individual warm-up, courts will work briefly on team offense, defense and transition. This will be followed by competitive play.
You can attend the 3 day evening session after the Full Day Camp, with a dinner break from 4-5pm. You also choose to only sign up for the 3 day evening competition session from 5-7pm. You are welcome to bring an early dinner at 4pm, beat the traffic and hang out at Brandeis before the session begins.
