Listed below are team training options at Masspike Volleyball Camp. Before registering as a team, please contact Karyn Altman, the camp director, at 978-226-8781 or masspikevolleyball@gmail.com to discuss the possibilities of these options being appropriate for your team. (Boys Team options may be limited to July 30-Aug 3 at Brandeis, but talk to Karyn if that week does not fit your team's schedule and you'd like to discuss the possibility of attending a differrent camp week)
1. If you have 12-16 players at approximately the same skill level, you can attend any Full Day Camp as a team. (Brandeis , Waltham, MA July 23-27 or July 30-Aug 3 and the Sports Zone in Derry, NH Aug 6-10) We will place you on court together in the morning, and cater your morning training sessions to fit your team's needs. In the afternoon, you will split up into positions, with the rest of camp so that your team's hitters, setters, back row players can work on their specialized positions. After position training, you will regroup to work on team offense, defensive and transition drills.
2. If you have 6-11 players with a balance of positions and similar skill level, you can request to stay together on court during the Full Day Camps (Brandeis July 23-27, July 30-Aug 3 and the Sports Zone Aug 6-10) However, depending on your numbers, you may share a court with other players of similar skill.
2. Teams may be able book a court for specialized training just for their team (Aug 2-4, Tues – Thurs) at Brandeis from 5-7:00. Again, call Karyn to discuss this option for your team.
3. Varsity teams can be placed together on court in the morning session at Chelmsford, but space is limited, so sign up early. Even if a full team does not attend, we will try to place teammates on the same court, if your skill level is similar and space is available.
4. You can reserve outdoor training sessions, throughout the summer in Chelmsford to fit your team's needs. This can be scheduled for a day, a few days, a week, weekdays or weekends for a few hours or a full day - it's up to your availability and mine (Karyn Altman) These sessions are not run during Masspike Camp weeks.
